Banns Of Marriage

Congratulations on your engagement!

If you live in our Parish and are getting married in a church you will need to have your Banns read in St Peter's Church. Check to see if you live in our Parish.

Banns of Marriage will need to be read out in both the bride and the groom's parish churches on three consecutive Sundays in the three months before the wedding. At the end of this you will receive a certificate which you will need to give to the minister who is marrying you.  

It is customary for couples to attend church for the calling of their Banns and we would love to see you at one of our sunday services.

There will be a fee of £34 (£22 for reading ofthe Banns plus £12 for a Certificate) Fees are to be paid either by cheque or cash at least one month before the wedding (cheque payable to St Peter's Church Fund). These charges are subject to revision from 1 january 2009
